As the episode was starting, the presenter moved down to the judges table to find out what expectations they have about the performances ahead.
O’Leary asked Gary Barlow how he felt about everyone always booing Christopher Maloney when he takes to the stage and got blasted by the Take That star.   Dermot O'Leary‏@OLearyFans

Gaz implied that Dermot always picks on Maloney and berated him for not mentioning the fact that Rylan Clark was booed too.

 She added:
“He was just reflecting on what happened and Christopher does get booed in the studio, more or less every time his name is mentioned. All we were saying to Gary is ‘how do you feel about that?’”
“I think because Chris has had a lot of stick in the papers all week, Gary was in there quickly to defend him. He was ready to stick up for him.”
Gary isn’t the only one defending the 34 year old as earlier this morning outgoing act District 3 insisted that he is really ‘lovely’ and claimed that he hasn’t been voting for himself.
